Jeffrey Slant-Flow™ Screen Grates Revolutionize Shredding
WOODRUFF, S.C. - Jeffrey Specialty Equipment Corporation's Slant-Flowä hammermill screen grate has created a revolution in shredding technology.
Unlike conventional screen grates, the Jeffrey Slant-Flowä grates feature screen bars that are inclined for better alignment with the direction of material flow. This enables material to move through the hammermill more rapidly, which increases capacity and reduces wear. The inclined bars are also thicker and are fully supported by radiused blocks that conform to the contour of the machine. This construction provides a stronger grate than the competition.
In addition to increasing machine capacity, the Slant-Flowä grates produce less dust (by improving airflow) and improve shredding action due to the angle of cutting. The hammers will last longer because of this improved shredding action and rapid evacuation of material, which reduces recirculating load.
Slant-Flowä grates are available for all brands and sizes of hammermills.
From its offices and plant in Woodruff, S.C., Jeffrey manufactures a complete line of wood and bark hogs, Chip-sizer™ machines, and vibrating feeders and conveyors. To request a brochure on this new product, call 800-615-9296, fax 864-476-7510, or visit www.jeffreycorp.com.
